Las Vegas Home Renovation: All Black Kitchen

One of our recent clients bought a newly built home in the Versilia community in Southern Highlands (Las Vegas, NV 89141) and decided that she wanted to change the standard countertops and backsplash in the kitchen to something a little bolder: all black. The home itself was an inventory home that had the common white speckled countertops and half backsplash in the kitchen. The kitchen had some modern touches with the dark grey cabinets, but overall wasn’t the modern feel our client was looking for. So she decided to contact WFT Residential to find and coordinate the right vendors to make her vision a reality.

The Inspiration: All Black Kitchen Trend

After discussing the vision with our client, we came to find that she wanted a bit of a cigar lounge, bachelor pad kind of feel to the kitchen. Minimalist with elements of edge, and that as a whole would make her kitchen the statement piece itself. She particularly loved an all black countertop accented with black backsplash, and was drawn to a quartz that would make easy cleanup.

With this in mind, we discussed a few options with our client on who we felt would be the best fit of vendors to do the job for her. After finalizing her choice, we coordinated a meeting with the vendors to see what options they had in stock for black granite countertops. During the meeting, she selected a beautiful (and rare) black marquina quartz for her countertop and matte black subway tile for her backsplash.

After finalizing her design choices, we coordinated for the vendors to come in to her home and measure the space, and then schedule a date to come out to start the renovation. From the moment our client contacted us about her vision, to the time of completion, the project took about 2-3 weeks (with tear out and installation). Now she tells us that whenever she walks into her kitchen, she almost can’t remember what it looked like before. To us, that’s the mark of a happy client.
